About me

Born in 1989, I grew up in Kostanjevica on the Krka. As a teenager, I discovered computers and digital art, which led me down the design path. As a person, I'm rather reserved, but I'm always ready to speak my mind when asked. I believe in respect and strive to set a good example. Podcasts about challenging topics are a mental workout for me. I find relaxation in drawing pixel art. In my free time, I freestyle with my FPV drone in the afternoons and play games with friends in the evenings. When the holiday season approaches, I get in my T3 and turn my routine upside down.

    Mobile UI

Mobile user interface is not the same as web design ...

My years of experience with web, mobile, and progressive web applications have taught me that mobile user interfaces are not just miniature websites on small screens. They are unique ecosystems that work in very different ways. My work optimizing processes and integrating Android and iOS systems has shown me that mobile devices are not all the same either. Android’s customizable and integrable open system explores new horizons with its openness, while iOS maintains a controlled environment where everything works seamlessly. After many years of working with and getting to know these systems, I have gained a deep understanding of their specifics and the developer’s perspective, which helps me anticipate potential challenges on the road to a great product.

    UX Design

Can you produce good UI without the knowledge of UX?

Many people confuse UI and UX because they are often mentioned together. However, these two separate areas each play a unique role in product development. The point is that a good user interface cannot be created without an understanding of UX. Since UX studies and research are often neglected, good UI designers need to look at psychology and user behavior to understand their users and develop an effective UI.

    Optimization

You can be one man army with knowing tricks.

I have a passion for design that, once ignited, is unstoppable. My skills have made me sought after for my speed. The first trick is to observe design everywhere. Different patterns, solutions, and ideas are ready to be mixed and remixed. When a challenge arises, you can remember similar tested solutions, adapt them, and test them again. The second trick is simply practice. Keyboard shortcuts, blind typing, and knowing your workspace are critical to speed.

    Text

    Why losing words?

When it comes to text in apps, you can usually do almost anything without it, which makes an app universally understandable. If you believe in reading instructions, I can show you how design can be self-explanatory and require no explanation, provided the designs are well executed. If there is text in the apps, it needs to be concise. I am very adept at keeping text to a minimum.

    Prototyping

No imagination? No problem! It works...

Some people imagine things with colors, others with feelings, and some with sounds. I visualize things. If you are trying to present designs to a person who lacks visual imagination, you have to make it so that they can try it out. With the Figma app, I create functional designs that can behave like real apps, with the only missing element being real data. This way, users can test and click through the app to visualize what the final product will look like.

    Aesthetic

Knowledge in drawing and photography adds value

There are official business apps, creative apps, gaming apps, personalized apps, and more. Each app has a design that gives it a soul. Although designing apps is a very technical skill, there is some room for creativity and expression. My skills in drawing, photography, and other artistic fields allow me to utilize the full potential of the creative space and create stunning designs regardless of system limitations.

Creative Portfolio

Most of the projects that I have worked on were for internal use in the betting industry, scouting, and sports. Due to company confidentiality, I am not permitted to showcase my work, but you can inquire about some that are publicly available. To get a glimpse of my work, here are some of my projects

Happy Holidays

My first successful "game", if you can call it that, was to be a digital, interactive holiday postcard. With a limited color palette and a simple Lua script, I managed to create a cozy game that was briefly fun.

Winter Day

Another year brought another attempt. This time the development was taken over by GB Studio software. Despite the constant color and size restrictions, which were a real challenge, I managed to develop another game. This game is more of a short puzzle story.
